Switching schools, grade levels, type of disabilities, etc. are all stressful situations. We become used to the way we do things and it can be challenging to shake things up. This year I will be working in a different state, higher grade levels than I've ever worked with, and a disabilities category that I have little experience with. I am nervous about the school year starting but am also excited. In the few years that I have been teaching I have found myself feeling very satisfied with my career choice and how I have handled myself. Good luck to all new teachers and remember to ask for help if needed!

Katie,

I am sure that with your progression from kindergarten and tying your shoes to where you are now, you've learned a lot! You should be able to be a good example to student teachers! Good luck!

Tom
