It never fails to amaze me what students with special needs are capable of when high expectations are formed and demanded by parents, teachers, etc. The only time I have ever been in a verbal altercation with my colleagues has been when they tell me that one of my students can't do something. I have had parents tell me this as well, and it breaks my heart. Students with physical limitations are able to participate in many of the same activities as their peers but with some modifications. A student of mine who was in a wheelchair temporarily was able to participate in street hockey by having another child push her around while she held the stick. The other children had fun helping her and enjoyed seeing her participate.

Thanks for your comments guys. I appreciate the feedback and fully support this program :)

As a father of one of Jennifer's students and one of the founding board members of ConductAbility, Inc, I can only say that Jennifer is amazing. She brings such positive energy to the classroom and truly understands what we've been doing with conductive education the past eleven years. Thanks, Ms. Quincer!

Thanks for sharing Jennifer! So cool. I'd love to see your classroom...can't wait to talk more at the Expo :)
