Right, stress and stress managment are part of special education teacher life. However, by recognizing the stressors that impact you and taking steps to be sure they do not overwhelm you, you will better enjoy your work and persist in your career.

Awesome advice, Ricard. I can't wait for Denver — though let's be honest, I am not looking forward to writing sub plans … yuck!

Hi Richard, your mother sounds so sweet! I think you have very sound advice. I have come in on so many days off this past month because of end of trimester, a sped self-review from the state dept of education, and this month somehow became my month where all IEPs happen... I am definitely looking forward to Denver, and may have to do a few lessons in the sun in the meantime!

I am so proud of all the hard work you have put into teaching, your students and your school all year regardless of what is going on. You are such a good person, teacher and friend to your students, co-worjers and your school. I hope you know how very proud of youI am son. I love you very much and know you will continue to grow and be a wonderful special education teacher.

Love you,
Mommy

Richard, Thanks for the reminder to take time to enjoy my job and awesome students. You've inspired me to plan a field trip for my students to enjoy this spring!
