Yes, working with EBD students is something I will never forget. I look back at those days with fondness. They were the toughest years of my career, but well worth it.

Great post. I have been a special education teacher for six years. As I reflect back on my first year and the journey that has followed, I still believe teaching is my calling even on the most trying of days. Thank you for reminding me of that time. Your passion and dedication is evident and contagious.

This article brought tears of joy to my eyes. I long to have my first class and have these experiences!

Having taught students with EBD myself, I thought your post was beautiful! You reminded me of all the things I felt when I first started this crazy ride known as special education!
